The KIA Sorento commercial was filmed between the rugged mountains of Gwadar and the vibrant city of Karachi. Shot in broad daylight with dynamic rigging camera setups, the production captured both the raw beauty of nature and the energy of the city, bringing the Sorento’s journey across two iconic landscapes to life.

"Reflecting on an unforgettable project!"
I had the privilege of shooting a corporate film for MAS, the largest apparel exporter in Sri Lanka. Titled "Change Is Courage," this project took me on an incredible journey to their factories across Tamil Nadu, Galle, and beyond.
With a small crew and a rough mood board, we embraced an organic filmmaking approach. The result? An authentic, heartfelt film that showcases MAS's values, people, and processes.
Grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the stories I got to tell. "Change Is Courage" is more than just a film – it's a testament to the power of resilience, innovation, and courage.

Four demanding days across cities and waters — one day in Islamabad and three in Karachi. Shot on a sailing boat, the production was packed with hurdles and moments of real panic. Amid the chaos, every shot was carefully controlled and purposeful.
For Mashreq Bank, an online-first app needed to feel dynamic and accessible. By revealing the phone from multiple angles, we kept the experience seamless, fluid, and modern.
ABOUT ASAD
Asad ul Haq has been a trailblazer in the world of filmmaking since the late 1980s. One of the most influential advertising filmmakers in Pakistan, he is the founder and driving force behind Ambience, one of the largest and most respected production houses in the country. His keen eye for detail and ability to create visually distinct, cinematic storytelling have made him a leading director of television commercials (TVCs) for the country’s top brands.
His journey began in the during a period of rapid cultural and technological shifts.Growing up amidst the rise of synthesisers, New Wave music, and the early days of MTV, Asad developed an early interest in film and advertising. He pursued his studies in Advertising at Ohio University, graduating in 1988, and returned to Pakistan with a vision to revolutionise the local advertising landscape.
His work has been marked by a distinctive style that combines cinematic elegance with an eye for detail. His direction often carries a painterly touch, transforming the ordinary into something visually extraordinary. His work is known for its graceful storytelling, where every frame is meticulously crafted to evoke emotion, atmosphere, and depth.
This unique approach has made him one of the most respected filmmakers in Pakistan’s advertising industry, influencing generations of filmmakers who aspire to follow in his footsteps. Whether in the controlled environment of a studio or the rugged beauty of remote locations like the Hindukush mountains, Ambience continues to deliver memorable stories that captivate.
He took a monumental step in by founding Ambience, a production company that would go on to redefine advertising in Pakistan with its focus on visually stunning, highly creative, and meticulously crafted commercials.
Internationally by opening an office in Singapore, broadening the company’s client base and collaborating with global brands across Asia and beyond. The company’s international success reinforced its status as a global player in the world of advertising production, working with brands in markets such as Malaysia, Turkey, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Now Ambience is established in Turkey and USA also.
